Bedford Modern School Boys-U14B vs  Loughborough Grammar School
On: Saturday, 12 Oct 2019
Venue: at Home

On Saturday 12th October the BMS Rugby U14B team played Loughborough Grammar School at home. From kickoff it was evident that this was going to be a hard fought game as the sides were evenly matched. However Loughborough managed to score the first two tries under the posts which were both converted. BMS responded well when Remy Halwood-Palm crossed the try line just before half time. The extras weren’t added and BMS went to the break 14-5 down.

BMS raised their game in the second half and scores from Madhav Salil and Tami Abaioye, both of which were converted, tied the game at 19-19. The game remained tight until 3 minutes from the end when, cheered on by the watching A and C team and after some a number of phases, Charlie Searle snipped round the side of a ruck to score a try converted by Will Howes. BMS had minutes to hold on to their 26-19 lead but with the last play Loughborough crossed again, however, the conversion fell short, giving BMS the win 26-24.
